Abstract: In order to study the relationship between cigarette materials and tar delivery,the effects of air permeability of cigarette paper,pressure drop and length of filter on tar delivery were investigated with linear regression orthogonal experiment.The results showed that:1) the effect of filter length on tar delivery was extremely significant and the effects of air permeability of cigarette paper and pressure drop of filter on tar delivery were significant;2) the regression equation was in good conformity with actual results,the Absolute values of relative deviations between predicted values and measurements were less than 5%.The tar delivery of cigarette could be predicted with this regression equation within limited test range.
