Abstract:
The fumigation of tobacco strips with sulfuryl fluoride and its influence on strips' quality were studied, and the residue of fluorine in strips was also detected. The results showed that:1) at sulfuryl fluoride concentration of 20 g/m
3 and fumigation time of 120 hours, namely at a CT value(product of concentration and time) of 2400,the adults, larvas, pupas and eggs of Lasioderma serricorne were all killed;2) the influence of sulfuryl fluoride treatment on routine chemical components in strips was not obvious, total alkaloid content declined slightly;3) sulfuryl fluoride had no negative effect on strips' quality;4) the residue of fluorine in strips increased by 3.1 mg/kg after fumigation.
