Abstract:
Using four batches of cut tobacco of different blends(A,B,C and D) as the raw material for repeatedly going through a maker and making cigarette, the relationship between cut tobacco size distribution(CTSD) and physical indexes of cigarette was analyzed with grey incidence analysis. The results showed that:1) there existed a critical value for cut tobacco size, the cut tobacco size which was larger than the critical value positively affected cigarette physical indexes, while that was smaller than the critical value on the contrary;2) the incidence coefficient between cut tobacco size and cigarette physical indexes reached the maximum when cut tobacco size was a certain value, the closer to that value, the greater the incidence coefficient was;however, the exact value differed between different physical indexes;3) to manufacture a cigarette with desired physical characteristics, the most probable range of cut tobacco size was 2.00 to 4.75mm,and the proportion of <1.40mm cut tobacco should be as small as possible.
