Abstract: When GDX1 packer running with light weight card board of(175±5) g/m²,the glue applied on label solidified slowly which resulted in low machine efficiency and high packet rejection.Therefore,a hot melt gumming system was developed,which was composed of gumming device,adhesive supply system and control system.The gumming device was made up of nozzle,pneumatic switch and adhesive distributor;adhesive supply system included adhesive supply device and attached tubes;and the control system was composed of encoder,sensor and controller.The improved gumming system ran steadily,machine speed increased from 130 packet/min to above 350 packet/min,and the consumption of label and foil decreased accordingly.
