Abstract:
The total sugar, reducing sugar, total nitrogen, nicotine, potassium, chlorine, and protein in flue-cured tobacco B2F and C3F sampled from 37 demonstrative production points in China in 2004 to 2006 and similar grades of Zimbabwean tobacco selected from B2M and L1OT were determined, compared, and examined through cluster analysis. The results showed that:1) the contents of reducing sugar, total sugar, potassium and chlorine in Zimbabwean B2F were higher, while its contents of total nitrogen, nicotine and protein were lower than domestic B2F;2) the contents of total sugar, nicotine, potassium and chlorine in Zimbabwean C3F were higher, while its contents of reducing sugar, protein and total nitrogen were lower than domestic C3F;3) B2F from Jahe and Liuyang and C3F from Jahe,Ningyuan and Liuyang Counties in Hunan Province were closer to Zimbabwean B2F and C3F in terms of their compositions of routine chemical components.
