Abstract: The curing technique for flue-cured tobacco cv.Honghuadajinyuan was tested.The results showed that:the quality of cured leaf could be improved by spraying water on the flue before curing start to increase humidity in barn and raising the start temperature by 2℃,the flue-curing cost was reduced accordingly.Comparing with conventional curing technique,the average prices of middle and upper leaves cured with new technique increased by 0.94 and 1.82 yuan,respectively,the curing time reduced by 14 and 16 hours,respectively,the coal consumption for curing 1kg of dry leaves decreased by 0.29kg and 0.34kg,respectively.
