Abstract: Air jet and steam jet used in strips casing were compared in terms of the temperature and its stability,moisture content and its uniformity,and casing uniformity in cased strips as well as effective utilization of casing.The results showed that:with steam jet,the moisture and casing contents in cased strips were more uniform,and strips' temperature and moisture content were higher,while there was no significant difference in strips temperature stability and casing utilization between the strips casing with steam and air jets.
