Abstract:
A GC/MS method was developed for analyzing the sucrose esters(SEs) in oriental tobacco samples.Tobacco sample was ultrasonically extracted with methylene chloride, then derived with N,O-bis(trimethylsilyl) trifluoroacetamide, and determined by GC/MS with sucrose octaacetate as an internal standard. The SEs contents in ten samples were tested. The results showed that:1) the recoveries of SEs ranged from 86.21% to 99.56% with RSDs of 3.11% to 4.58% and the limit of detection of 0.168
μg/mL;2) the SEs of 5 different molecular weights in order of their content in samples were SE(Ⅳ) >SE(Ⅲ) >SE(Ⅴ) >SE(Ⅱ) >SE(Ⅰ),and dominated by SE(Ⅳ) and SE(Ⅲ);3) the SEs contents in samples changed with the grown area, variety and grade, and grown area might be a major influencing factor.
