Abstract:
In order to find out the quality differences between flue-cured tobacco from different areas, the chemical components in flue-cured tobacco from Jianghua in Hunan,Xuancheng in Anhui and Yuqing in Guizhou were analyzed and compared. The results indicated that the chemical compositions in flue-cured tobacco from different areas were significantly different;the megastigmatrienone content in tobacco from Jianghua, contents of benzyl alcohol and phenylethyl alcohol in tobacco from Yuqing, and contents of total sugar, reduced sugar, furfural and damascenone in tobacco from Xuancheng were relatively higher than and distinct from the others. Moreover, the results of similarity and principal component analyses showed that the chemical compositions in tobacco from Xuancheng and Yuqing were relatively similar, while those in tobacco from Xuancheng and Jianghua differed a lot.
