Abstract:
A method for determining cadmium, chromium, nickel in tipping paper by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry was developed and tipping paper samples of 44 cigarette brands were analyzed. The results indicated that:1) the recoveries of cadmium, chromium, nickel were 102.2%,101.9% and 102.2% with the RSDs of 4.40%,3.96% and 4.71%,and the limits of detection of 0.009,0.014,and 0.016 mg/kg,respectively;2) the cadmium content in all samples was below the tolerance of 1 mg/kg,while the chromium contents in 23.7% of the samples were over the tolerance of 15 mg/kg,and only one sample's nickel content was over the tolerance of 5 mg/kg.
