Bioinformatics Analysis of nad7 Gene Related to Tobacco Cytoplasmic Male Sterility

  • 摘要: 编码线粒体呼吸链复合物I亚基的nad7基因最后两个外显子缺失,会导致烟草表现为细胞质雄性不育(CMS)。采用生物信息学方法,分析了不育型和野生型烟草中nad7基因在其编码蛋白各结构层次上存在的差异。结果表明,nad7基因最后两个外显子缺失可导致其编码蛋白缺失泛醌氧化还原酶(NADH)的结构域,极可能成为影响线粒体呼吸链复合物I完整性的关键因素,从而可能成为导致烟草CMS的根本原因之一。

     

    Abstract: It was reported that it was the deletion of the last two exons from nad7 gene of a subunit of complex I in the mitochondrial respiratory chain that led to tobacco CMS.The gene differences between CMS type and wild type tobaccos were analyzed by bioinformatics at different structure levels of coding protein.The results showed that the deletion of the last two exons from nad7 gene led to the lack of the structural domain of ubiquinone oxidoreductase(NADH) in coding protein,and the absence of NADH structural domain might be a key factor influencing the integrity of complex I in mitochondrial respiratory chain and one of the fundamental causes led to CMS of tobacco.
