Abstract: The essential oil of Rhododendron dauricuml leaves was extracted with SDE.The volatile constituents in the oil were isolated and identified by GC/MS.The oil was added into cigarettes made of B2F and C3F tobacco leaves as a flavor.The results showed that:1) 78 volatile constituents were identified in the oil, which were mainly caryophyllene, 1, 5, 9, 9-tetramethyl-1, 4, 7-cycloundecatriene, germacrone, eudesmol and furfural, etc.2) The aroma quality and intensity of cigarette were improved, irritation was reduced, and aftertaste was modified by the essential oil.
