Abstract: The case hopper, in which the cases are horizontally stacked, in case filling and sealing machine has some shortcomings, such as small storage capacity, poor adaptability to case variations, etc.Therefore, an additional case bunker, in which the cases are vertically arranged, was designed and installed adjacent to the case hopper.Once a case in the case hopper was fed to the machine, a case in the bunker would be supplied to the case hopper automatically.The test results showed that by the addition of a case bunker, the storage capacity raised from 50 to 200 cases and the throughput increased from 6 to 8 case/min.
