Abstract:
653100, Yunnan, China Basing on a transient plane thermal source method, an experimental device was established for measuring thermal properties (thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and volume thermal capacity) of cut tobacco, the working parameters of the device were calculated, and the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and volume thermal capacity of cut tobacco of different moisture contents and bulk densities were measured. Moreover, the repeatabilities of the experimental data were investigated at different measuring levels. The results showed that:1) the repeatability of experimental data was rather good; 2) the precision ranges of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and volume thermal capacity were 0.00030-0.00471 W/m·K, 0.00371-0.02424 m
2/s, and 0.00921-0.06537 MJ/m
3·K, respectively; 3) thermal conductivity and volume thermal capacity were positively, but thermal diffusivity was negatively correlated to tobacco moisture content and bulk density.
