Abstract: PASSIM70 filter cigarette maker controls the average weight of cigarettes, but does not reject overweight cigarettes. A sampling interface circuit board was added, which received cigarette density signals and ERP synchronous signals, calculated individual cigarette weight and compared with the set value, and released a "rejection" signal as soon as an overweight cigarette was detected. The overweight cigarette was rejected by the same device responsible for loose-end cigarette rejecting. The experiment result showed that:the ratio of rejected cigarette, which was heavier than the set value by 0.07g, was 0.73‰ in 5 minutes; it indicated that overweight cigarette rejection is beneficial to the consistency of product quality.
