Abstract: Inclined conveyer is usually employed to convey cigarette packets from the outlet of a packer to an overhead passage,the disadvantage is that the pinch roller is inclined to damage the head of cigarette packet.A pneumatic lifter was designed to elevate cigarette packets to the overhead passage by stable airflow in air channels formed by compressed air supplied by a compressor.The practical application indicated that the pneumatic lifter was able to lift the cigarette packets to the designed height successfully,swiftly,and keep the packets intact.Moreover,it was simple in construction.
