Abstract: Four blends of cut tobacco were used and repeatedly went through a maker for making cigarette samples,the relationship between cut tobacco size distribution and tobacco loss from cigarette end was analyzed.The results showed that:within the test range,1)tobacco loss from cigarette end increased with the decrease of characteristic size of cut tobacco;2)tobacco loss from cigarette end negatively correlated to tobacco ≥ 2.8 mm in length,especially that 5.6 mm;while positively correlated to tobacco 2.8mm in length,especially that1.4 mm.
