Abstract:
The contents of lithium(Li),chromium(Cr),nickel(Ni),copper(Cu), arsenic(As),selenium(Se),molybdenum(Mo),cadmium(Cd),thallium(Tl) and lead(Pb) in 41cigarette and cigar samples were determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and the contents of the 10 harmful elements in cigarette samples were statistically analyzed in terms of their types and prices. The results showed that:1) Tl content in cigarette samples was very lower,Li and Cu contents were higher, while the contents of other 7 elements were moderate, averaged from 0.55 to 4.42 μg/g;2) the contents of Cr,Ni,As,Mo,Cd,Tl and Pb in cigar samples were higher than those in Virginia type cigarette samples in general, while Se content in cigar was slightly lower;and no significant difference of Li or Cu content between these two kinds of samples;3) the contents of Li,Ni,Cd,Tl and Cr in premium cigarettes were lower, while those of As and Pb were higher. There are no significant differences of Cu,Se and Mo contents between cigarettes of different prices.
