Abstract: To satisfy the market demand,the packing technology of color printing film overwrapped cigarette packet was developed and a film packing device was designed and added to the existing film conveying and cutting device.The designed device incorporated optoelectronic system in film conveying to adjust the length of film conveying through regulating the rotation speed or direction of a servo motor.The results of application showed that the said device could accurately control the length of film conveying and enhance the appearance and packing quality of cigarette packet,and the defective packets decreased from 20-28 to 0-3 packets per day.
