Abstract: In order to investigate the distribution of tobacco-specific nitrosamines(TSNAs) in flue-cured tobacco and reduce the harmfulness of cigarette,the contents of TSNAs in 63 flue-cured tobacco samples were determined by GC/TEA and their differences were statistically tested.The results showed that:1) The TSNA contents in imported flue-cued tobacco samples were higher than those in Yunnan samples.2) The order of individual TSNA content in Yunnan samples were NNN< NNK< NAT+NAB,while there was no obvious order in imported samples.3) The TSNA contents were significantly different between varieties of flue-cured tobacco,however,not obviously different between leaf grades.
