Abstract:
The size distribution of cut fillers in 25 domestic cigarette brands of different price categories produced in 2004 and 2007 were determined with a horizontally rotary eccentric sieve and compared. The results showed that:1) The proportion of cut tobacco longer than 3.35 mm in cigarettes produced in 2004 was higher than that in cigarettes produced in 2007;2) Comparing with cigarettes produced in 2004,the standard deviation of different size proportion in samples of Categories Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ reduced in 2007;while that of Categories Ⅰ and Ⅴ increased;3) Comparing with other size proportions, the standard deviation of cut tobacco 7.10 mm and over in length in the same category was the highest.
