Abstract: The impact caused by the intermittent movement of packaging wheels in YB47 hard packer sometimes resulted in foil breakage or out of place,therefore the actuator was replaced by an indexing curved cam mechanism in No.3 packaging wheel of YB47 to reduce the impact.The practical application indicated that the improved No.3 packaging wheel featured high indexing precision,accurate positioning, smooth transmission,and it is compact in structure,simple in assembling the indexing cam mechanism and convenient in operation.Comparing with the No.3 packaging wheel in YB45 hard packer, the improved cam mechanism in YB47 packer effectively decreased the vibration and impact caused by No.3 packaging wheel at high running speed,and the number of foil-related defective packs reduced to zero from 5-9 pack/month for YB45.
