Abstract:
Homology cloning and in silico cloning method were used to chlone the full length cDNA sequence of tobacco zeta-carotene dehydrogenase gene (named
T-zds1)from flue-cured tobacco cultivar, Jiucaiping2, and the primary and secondary structures of its encoding protein were predicted. The GenBank accession number of
T-zds1 was JF975566 with the full length of 2312 bp, the coding protein contained 588 amino acids and the protein accession number was AEG73891. The results of BLASTp and phylogenetic analysis showed that the similarities of encoding amino acid sequence of
T-zds1 to that of tomato, sunflower and carrot were 97%, 92%, and 90%, respectively.
