Abstract:
In order to investigate the characteristics and spatial distribution of chemical components in flue-cured tobacco leaves from Lincang City, Yunnan Province, the contents of reducing sugar, total sugar, nicotine, total nitrogen, potassium and chlorine in 189 samples of B2F, C3F and X2F leaves collected from 7 counties and 1 district in Lincang were determined, and the resultants were analyzed with fuzzy math, multivariate statistical analysis and geostatistics. The results showed that:1) The contents of total nitrogen, nicotine, potassium and chlorine and potassium/chlorine ratio in Lincang leaves fell all within suitable ranges. However, the contents of total sugar and reducing sugar and sugar/nicotine ratio were slightly higher, while nitrogen/nicotine ratio was slightly lower. 2) The difference of chemical components (except for reducing sugar and chlorine) between grades and that (except for total nitrogen) between growing areas was significant. However, the difference between cultivars was statistically significant only for total sugar and chlorine. 3) Most leaf samples possessed higher comprehensive indexes of chemical components, samples from Zhenkang, Cangyuan and Linxiang the highest, while samples from Fengqing the lowest.
