Abstract: In order to investigate the effects of wood pulp addition on the properties of base-sheet of paper-making process reconstituted tobacco, the effects of wood pulp addition rate on the physical properties, permeability and microstructures of the base-sheet were analyzed by adding different rates of wood pulp during paper-making process. The results indicated that when the addition rate of wood pulp increased from 3% to 15% , the tensile index, tear index and air permeability of base-sheet were obviously improved, the surface porosity of base-sheet increased gradually, the texture of base-sheet became loose, which was beneficial to liquid permeation from the surface into inside of base-sheet, and the absorption property and permeability of base-sheet improved obviously.
