Abstract:
In order to study the influences of shearing force on the cutting of paper-making process reconstituted tobacco (RT) and find out the differences of shearing force between domestic and imported RT, the shearing force of 10 samples of domestic and imported RT was determined by a texture analyzer, and the relationships between shearing force and electric current of the cutting drum were analyzed. The results indicated that:1) the shearing force of domestic RT was obviously larger than that of imported RT; 2) with the increase of moisture content, the shearing force of RT increased first then decreased, which reached its maximum at the moisture content of about 12%; 3) higher shearing strength of RT led to higher electric power consumption of cutting drum.
