Abstract: To prevent cigarettes from dropping and wrinkling in the elevator in YF17 cigarette storing and conveying system,the flow rate matching and relative movement of cigarettes in elevating passage were analyzed,which indicated that the effective width at the turning section varied while cigarettes travelling through,and the flow rate of cigarettes could not be well matched by a fixed section passage.Therefore,the elevator was improved as following:adopting a swing-link flexible conveying device at the inlet turning section of elevator,controlling vertical elevating section and inlet turning section separately,and adopting resilient conveying device at the outlet turning section.The results of application showed that the cigarette flow rate was precisely controlled and flexibly conveyed,cigarette dropping was completely avoided,the wrinkled cigarettes reduced from 3-4 to 0.5-1.0 cig./minute,and the appearance quality of cigarette was effectively improved.
