Abstract: In order to design the profile of Fourier series cam in PROTOS2-2 cigarette maker,the Fourier series formula of cam profile was established by analyzing the phase relations of tobacco rods separating drum with final cut drum and end-scanner drum,then each coefficient in Fourier series was calculated with least squared criterion and compared with the cam parameters provided by HAUNI.The results showed that all the coefficients were coincident with those on the drawings of HAUNI,which indicated that the design method was correct,feasible and could be used in the cam design of ultrahigh-speed cigarette maker.
