Abstract:
In order to compare the style differences of tobacco leaves from different growing areas, the fingerprints of semi-volatile aroma constituents in 139 tobacco samples of C3F grade from Southwest, Southeast and North China, Huang-Huai, the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River tobacco growing areas were analyzed by automatic thermal desorption (ATD)-GC/MS. Seventeen semi-volatile constituents were selected as the target analytes according to the contents and characteristics of aroma constituents as well as the repeated test results, and the content differences of these constituents were compared by principal component analysis. The results showed that: 1) The contents of aroma constituents in tobacco leaves from North area were generally the lowest. 2) Some aroma constituents, such as megastigmatrienone, 3-hydroxy-
β-damascenone, solanone, dihydroactinidiolide and
β-ionone in tobacco leaves from Southeast and Huang-Huai growing areas were generally higher. 3) There was no significant difference between aroma constituents in tobacco leaves from Southwest and the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River growing areas. 4) There were certain differences between aroma constituents in tobacco leaves with the same style from different tobacco growing areas.
