Abstract: In order to meet the need of tobacco production for quality varieties, Yunyan105 was bred with Yunyan87 and CF965 as female and male parents respectively. Yunyan105 grew vigorously in field with a tower-shaped plant and long oval leaves. The average height of topped plants was 117.5 cm with 22 harvestable leaves and the growth duration in field was 128 days. The plant was moderately resistant to black shank and brown spot disease, and its comprehensive resistance was comparable to K326. The major indexes of economic characters of Yunyan105 were better than K326. The main chemical composition of Yunyan105 was harmonious, its appearance quality of cured leaves was slightly better than or similar to K326, and sensory quality was moderate or above, which was comparable to K326. Yunyan105 is suitable for planting in tobacco growing areas in south China.
