Abstract:
In order to develop a reasonable and scientific grouping method for the tobacco blend of Chinese type cigarette, the routine chemical analysis and panel testing results of tobacco leaves were cluster analyzed separately, according to the degree of compatibility in characteristics of individual composition.The rationality and feasibility of the resultant processing groups in tobacco were compared.The results showed that the possible influence of subjective factors in grouping based on sensory test, growing area, grade, stalk position, and
etc, was avoided by grouping in accordance with chemical compositions.Tobacco leaves could be scientifically grouped by cluster analysis based on the compatibility in characteristics of their chemical compositions.The rationality of tobacco grouping in a cigarette blend must be judged by the feasibility in tobacco processing and comparing the differences of smoking character between the groups.
