Abstract:
In order to develope new tobacco seedling breeding methods which are compatible with the practice of flue-cured tobacco production in Guizhou tobacco growing area, three seedbed systems, including floating system, tray-waterbed system and conventional system were compared. The results showed that the temperature changes of tray-waterbed and conventional system were slower than that of floating system;the seedlings in tray-waterbed system grew faster than those in the other two systems, and performed well in plant height, stalk and root development, number and area of leaf, accumulation of dry matter, and
etc.The seedlings in floating system grew slowly at early stage and rapidly at late stage, the grown seedlings were obviously not as good as the seedlings grown in tray-waterbed system. The photosynthetic rate and absorbing area of root system of seedlings in tray-waterbed system were superior to those of the others. The root vigor of seedling in tray-waterbed system was basically the same as that in conventional system, and obviously higher than that in floating system. It was preferable to popularize tray-waterbed system in Guizhou flue-cured tobacco growing area.
