Abstract:
In order to investigate whether the viruses affecting tobacco were present in vault water and their relation with Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV), the water was sampled and tested with Indirect-ELISA and inoculated into
Nicotiana cordifolia at seedling restitution and budding stages of flue-cured tobacco in Qujing of Yunnan. After irrigated with the water, field virus disease incidence was investigated and diseased leaves were sampled randomly and the viruses identified. The results showed that there was TMV in vault water;at budding stage, the average incidence of virus disease was 8.6%, ranging from 1.8% to 16.8%;the positive ratio of TMV, CMV, PVY and TEV in infected leaves were 45.8%, 27.8%, 27.8% and 27.8%, respectively.
