Abstract: The nutritional value, extraction and functional characteristics (including selenium protein and bio-active peptides) of tobacco protein and the protein food, functional food, essence and flavor, transgenic protein, medical research ancillary material and plant protectant made from tobacco protein were reviewed.The prospects of tobacco protein development and utilization were discussed also.
