Abstract:
The volatile components in the upper leaves (B2F), cutters (C2F) and lower leaves (X2F) of Yunyan 85 and K326 were analyzed with SDE and GC/MS, and these tobacco leaves were panel tested. The results showed that the levels of most volatile substances identified in Yunyan85 were higher than those in K326, except for neophytadiene and octacosane. However, the total amount of volatile components in Yunyan85 was lower than that in K326, lower by 0.8mg/g and 0.5mg/g in the cutters and lower leaves of Yunyan85, respectively. For different stalk positions, there were more neophytadiene, 3-furfural, megastigmatrienone, stearic acid and palmitic acid in low er leaves, while more benzyl alcohol in cutters and more solaventone in upper leaves. The total volatile component in cutters was the highest, followed by uppers, and in lower leaves the lowest, that result agreed with sensory evaluation. The smoking quality of cutters of Yunyan85 was better than that of K326, while that of the upper and lower leaves was not as good as K326.
