Abstract:
To study the growth and development of tobacco plants in field, the rates of dry matter accumulation in eight flue-cured tobacco varieties were determined at 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 days after transplanting. The result showed that the dry matter content in roots, stalks and leaves of cv.Yunyan 87 was the highest, which was 114, 132 and 207g, respectively (determined at the 100th day after transplanting), amounted to 1.39, 1.38 and 1.14 times as much as that of K326.The average increase rate was 1.421, 2.145 and 3.033g/d, respectively, and the weight ratio of dry matter in root to that in stalk and leaves was 0.336.The results suggested that Yunyan 87 had better adaptability and higher biological yield.
