Abstract: The principle and characteristics of microwave, microwave technology, and microwave heating and drying technology were summarized.The application and prospect of microwave technology in tobacco processing, tobacco chemistry and tobacco inspection were introduced in detail.Some pressing technological problems of microwave application in tobacco industry were underlined.
