Abstract:
In order to develop cheap macrocyclolactones for tobacco flavoring, the precursors of macrocyclolactones including cyclohexadecalactone, cyclopentadecalactone, cyclobutadecalactone, and cyclopropiodecalactone were synthesized using cyclohexanone, cyclopentanone, hydrogen peroxide, and perchloric acid as raw materials according to relative references, then qualitatively identified with m.p.,
13C NMR,
1H NMR, IR and compared with references. The pyrolysis of the precursors and the application of the same in blended cigarette flavoring were tested as well. The results showed that the pyrolysis products were relative macrocyclolactones, and the flavor of cigarette smoke, especially animal note and bodiness, was enhanced.
