Abstract: The plate type ironing device in a carton overwrapper tended to film melting in case a carton was delayed in ironing station.A carton film follower shaper was designed, wherein a pair of electrical heating rollers forced the carton move forward and away form the ironing station while it was being ironed between the rollers, thereby, the over heat of film was then avoided effectively.Separate power supply and electrical control systems were used, the temperature and contact pressure of the rollers could be adjusted to adapt to different films or to eliminate film wrinkles.
