Abstract:
In order to make the determination results of chlorine in tobacco by SKALAR analyzer compatible with the results determined by other analyzers, the possible factors influencing determination of chlorine in tobacco by SKALAR analyzer, such as dialysis disposal, color reaction temperature and detection wavelength, were tested.The results showed that the optimum conditions for determining chlorine in tobacco by SKALAR analyzer were dialysis of reacting fluid with dialyzer, color reaction under 37℃ and detection at 490nm wavelength.The content of chlorine in two standard tobacco samples was determined by the SKALAR analyzer under conditions mentioned above, and the found values were within the confines of criterion.
