Abstract: The main agronomic and economic characters, resistance, appearance quality and smoking characteristics of cured leaves, as well as cultivating and curing techniques of red sun-cured tobacco cv.Yanshai 6 were introduced.Yanshai 6 was a medial-early maturity variety with strong growth vigor, the growing stage in fields was 83d, the maturation of tobacco leaves was relatively concentrated;the color of cured leaves was dark red, and featured better luster, rich oil and open structure;the variety was resistant to brown spot, middle resistant to wildfire and high resistant to TMV;the average yield and output value was 2674.3 kg/ha and 16962.9 yuan/ha, respectively. The cultivar was characterized by good quality, high yield, better adaptability and easier curing.
