Abstract: A gas chromatographic method for determining the content of nicotine in tobacco flavor was developed with a capillary column HP-INNOWAX (30m×0.25mm i.d.×0.25μm d.f.) and a NP detector by using quinoline as an internal standard.The linear range of the method was from 0.0135 mg/mL to 0.608 mg/mL (r=0.99995).The average recovery was 98.05% and RSD was 1.79%.The contents of nicotine in eight kinds of tobacco flavor samples were also determined.
