Abstract:
Two methods, HPLC and GC/MS, for determining benzoa pyrene (BaP) in cigarette smoke were developed. The pretreatment and instrument analysis condition were optimized and the repeatability, recovery and detectable limit of BaP were also determined.By comparing, a standard method was determined, wherein BaP in TPM was extracted with cyclohexane, then subjected to a silica SPE cartridge cleanup, and followed by quantitative analysis with GC/MS.For the method, the detectable limit of BaP was 1.44ng/mL, its recovery was in the range of 99.45%-102.40%, and CV was 2.77%.The BaP contents in 81 kinds of domestic and imported cigarettes were determined and the distribution of BaP yields of the cigarettes was discussed.
