Abstract: The influence of shred distribution in tobacco rod on the density, draw resistance, physical index, chemical index and sensory quality of cigarette were studied by comparative test and analysis.The fillers in the tested cigarettes were trimmed by different ecreteur discs while the cigarettes were making.The results showed that the tobacco rod trimmed by six-pocket disc was obviously better than that trimmed by three-pocket disc, its density distribution and draw resistance distribution were more reasonable, its smoking quality was more stable, and its delivery of tar and CO was the lowest.
