Abstract:
With different fertilizer rate, the changes of free amino acid contents in three stalk positions of oriental tobacco cv., Izmir, were studied. The results showed that:at equal fertilization level, the content of total free amino acid in mature fresh leaves was increased with the rise of stalk position, however, individual amino acid might perform in different way;2) the content of total free amino acid in different stalk positions displayed no perceptible correlation with fertilizer rate;3) with lower fertilizer rate (30-37.5 kg N/ha), the contents of phenylalanine, proline, aspartic acid and glutamic acid in middle and upper leaves were relatively high as a whole, which was beneficial to disease resistance and tobacco quality.
