Abstract: The building of oriental tobacco curing shed, ripe characteristics of tobacco leaves, harvesting methods and the technique of stringing and racking were introduced.The methods of combining air-curing with sun-curing and bulk yellowing were described in detail.In the former method, the leaves were cured in the air and yellowed to the extent of 90 percent then cured in the sun till the midribs were dried completely.In the later method, the leaves were bulked and yellowed to the extent of 80 to 90 percent, then loaded on racks to be dried in the sun until the lam inas and veins turned dry, and this method was fit for dry areas.
