Abstract: The tissue of lamina of different burley tobacco cultivars were studied by slides observation under microscope.The results showed that cultivars in order of the value of some key features closely related to tobacco quality and yield, such as leaf thickness, thickness ratio between palisade tissue and spongy tissue, and the thickness of upper epidermis, were TN86 > KY907 > TN90 > KY908 > K26 > KY8959.Therefore, the tissue constitution of TN86 was the best, followed by KY907 and TN90.
