Abstract: The main methods of distant hybridization, such as traditional sexual hybridization, somatic cell hybridization, in vitro fertilization, pollen-tube pathway and gene transformation were compared, and the prospects of pollen-tube pathway method application in tobacco breeding were also discussed.
