Abstract: The effects of different kinds of organic fertilizers and their mixtures on physiological and biochemical characteristics of sun-cured tobacco were studied. The results showed that the activity of PPO in tobacco leaves was reduced by applying the mixture of chemical fertilizer, manure, and cake fertilizer, and the mixture of manure and cake fertilizer. The content of pigment in chloroplast, content of Pro, and activity of NR in tobacco leaves were obviously increased; the content of MDA was decreased; the quality of tobacco leaves was improved; and resistance of tobacco plant was improved with applying mixture of chemical fertilizer, manure and cake fertilizer. Therefore, the best way of organic fertilizers application was mixing manure with cake fertilizer.
