Abstract:
In order to carry out the new
Cigarette Technology Specification, improve the purity and structure of expanded cut lamina and expanded cut stem, and reduce the effect of pneumatic classification on the moisture contents of cut tobacco, the structure, purity and moisture contents of expanded cut lamina and expanded cut stem were tested before and after classifying by XA pneumatic classifier and FX in-site pneumatic classifier. The results showed that the purity of tobacco classified by FX in-site pneumatic classifier was satisfied, and the effect of classification on processing quality of tobacco could be reduced effectively. In comparison with XA pneumatic classifier, the reduction of the rates of long strands (>3.0mm) in expanded cut stem and cut lamina was reduced from 4.1% and 1.9% to 1.2% and 0.8%, the increase of the rates of shorts (<1.00mm) was dropped from 1.3% and 1.8% to 0.2% and 0.4%, and the decrease of moisture content was lowered from 0.9% and 0.6% to 0.3% and 0.3%, respectively.
